Emily McGavin

Emily returned to Vail Health Foundation in 2019, where she previously worked for over seven years. She has spent nearly 13 years in the development world, specializing in annual giving, development operations, database administration, fundraising events, and benefactor and community relations. In June 2021, Emily earned the distinction of becoming a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). Emily finds it very rewarding to interact with benefactors and connect their philanthropy to essential health care services in the Vail community.

Emily has lived in the Eagle River Valley for 27 years and enjoys exploring the great outdoors and traveling with her partner, Roddy. She is proud of her daughter, who is studying Social Work and Sociology at Colorado State University. She recalls sage advice given by her daughter’s pediatrician years ago that applies to many life situations: be flexible, as things rarely go according to plan.
