Sara Friedle and Mike Towler: Sponsoring Safe Spaces for Youth

In this video, Sara Friedle and Mike Towler share their motivation for investing in the behavioral health of the young people in our community. Originally from the Midwest, the couple became full-time Eagle County residents in 2020 and began investing in their community by supporting the Vail Health Shaw Cancer Center and Your Hope Center, a fundraising partner of Vail Health Foundation. The couple recently made a generous contribution to Eagle Valley Behavioral Health to support the Precourt Healing Center.

“Preventive medicine is a beautiful thing, but it doesn’t work for everyone,” says Sara. “What Vail Health is doing on the Edwards Community Health Campus is wonderful.”

Opening in 2025, the Precourt Healing Center will be a 50,000-square-foot inpatient facility treating the behavioral health needs of adults and adolescents. Sara and Mike chose to sponsor the outdoor patio on the adolescent floor from a deep understanding of young people’s needs for accessible, skilled, and personalized behavioral health care and treatment. Their commitment to organizations that offer these services to young people in the community is inspiring.

“My hope for the future would be to see an empty building, which means that we have addressed the problems, done the prevention, and gotten the cure.”Mike Towler
