Watch: Vail Health COVID-19 Vaccination Plan

As the first FDA-authorized doses of vaccine for COVID-19 are now being administered, we understand that there are many questions around when the vaccine will be available to you.

When can I come in to get a COVID vaccine?

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) has outlined very strict guidelines that both Colorado Mountain Medical and Vail Health must follow.  To better understand where you may fall in their plan please visit their COVID-19 Vaccine page at https://covid19.colorado.gov/for-coloradans/vaccine/vaccine-for-coloradans.

Questions?

Any and all questions should be emailed to Eagle County Public Health’s COVID-19 response team. They can be reached at covidquestion@eaglecounty.org.  Please do not email your provider or call Colorado Mountain Medical or Vail Health. We are unable to influence the priority or timing of who gets vaccinated.

Is the COVID-19 vaccine safe?

Like all vaccines, any COVID-19 vaccine must meet safety and effectiveness requirements set by the FDA before it is made available to the public. You should speak with your primary care provider about whether or not a COVID-19 vaccine is right for you. The CDC also has great information online: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/index.html
