Dear Patients and Families,
As we reflect on the past year, we are delighted to share some significant developments within Colorado Mountain Medical (CMM) that underscore our commitment to better serve and elevate health across our communities. The year 2023 has been truly exceptional, marking record-breaking achievements and exciting progress.
Patient Visits:
Within CMM, we experienced our highest volume of visits in history, with an impressive 108,532 patient visits—a notable increase of nearly 8% from the previous year. Your trust in us and your continued support are driving forces behind this milestone. While we improve access and grow our clinical offerings, service and quality remain our priority. All of our physicians, providers, management and staff participated in several patient experience trainings throughout the year with a renewed focus on these initiatives. We hope your experience with us is positive and we continue to grow in our support of this community and its unique needs.
Improved Phone Experience:
Efficient communication is paramount, and we have made substantial strides in managing the influx of phone calls. Recognizing the challenges posed by high call volumes (over 250,000 phone calls to our scheduling line annually), especially during peak times (average of 250 calls on Mondays between 8-9 AM), we have implemented solutions such as online scheduling options for primary care and gynecology. Our goal is to offer you the convenience of scheduling appointments when it works for you, even on weekends, without the need for a phone call.
Moreover, our remote Nurse Line, initiated about a year ago, has proven to be a success. Our dedicated nurses handle around 150 calls per day, providing valuable guidance to patients, reducing the need for unnecessary appointments or urgent care visits and controlling the cost of care. We appreciate your patience as we continue to work towards enhancing our services and provide multiple options for reaching us.
New Physicians:
We always enjoy welcoming new physicians to our team. Their bios are linked below, and we are pleased with how swiftly they have integrated into the CMM family, instantly providing access and filling their schedules. The addition of these physicians ensures exceptional quality of care, excellent service, and improved accessibility for our patients.
New Services:
Your feedback has been invaluable, guiding us in expanding our services to better meet community needs. We are grateful for the opportunity to introduce new offerings, including dermatology cosmetic services with a state-of-the-art laser, gastroenterology services in Dillon (Dr. Dolan), increased family practice and internal medicine services in Vail, expanded pediatric access in Eagle and Avon, urology services in Avon and Vail, extended services and access to ophthalmology with the addition of Dr. Ganiban and much more.
