Community SafeHealth: Rubenstein Children Partnership Launches New Program

Good health and overall wellness are foundational to living a fruitful and happy life according to Ellie Rubenstein.

In January 2021, with the support of a $1 million contribution from the Rubenstein Children, Vail Health launched the Community SafeHealth program at Howard Head Sports Medicine (HHSM). Ellie Rubenstein, CEO of Manna Tree Partners, and her two siblings, all grateful patients of Vail Health, describe their inspiration for giving were the many exceptional experiences they have each had at HHSM. This appreciation, along with a shared desire to give back to Vail Health and the community, led to their support of the new program.

“This was a gift to the community, and we want everyone to have an awareness of what population health can be,” says Ellie. “There’s nothing more important than your health.”

Community SafeHealth is a collaborative effort between experts within the Vail Health system (HHSM, Colorado Mountain Medical, Eagle Valley Behavioral Health) and community partners MIRA (Mobile Intercultural Resource Alliance), Neighborhood Navigators, My Future Pathways, and others. The program focuses on empowering the underinsured and uninsured individuals in Eagle County to develop healthier habits and improve overall wellness.
