A Conversation with Tracey Branch
What drives your work in mental health care?
“Serving as Vail Health Behavioral Health’s director of case management brings me much pride and fulfillment because it allows me to witness a real, lasting difference in people’s lives. In Eagle and Summit counties, where resources can be limited, I can bring together a support network to ensure individuals and families get the care and assistance they need. The work is incredibly rewarding because the case management team and I advocate for community members, helping them navigate challenges and empower them to create positive change in their lives.”
What’s your approach to supporting clients?
“As a licensed clinical social worker with 32 years of experience, I specialize in complex trauma, anxiety, depression, family issues, and intimate partner violence. I believe in integrating evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness techniques, tailoring the treatment to each person’s unique needs.”
Tell us about your team.
“I’m incredibly proud of the case management team. They are dedicated, compassionate, and incredibly resourceful, and they truly understand the unique needs of this rural community. Together, we collaborate closely to ensure our clients receive comprehensive support. Each team member brings their expertise and perspective, making us a strong, unified force that’s deeply committed to the well-being of those we serve.”
Our exceptional team includes:

What’s your background in the field?
“I hold a Master of Social Work from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. Throughout my career, I’ve learned that effective treatment must consider individual needs and broader systemic factors. My goal is to create an environment where people feel safe to grow, heal, and thrive.”
