Vail Health is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Stephanie Miller, a board-certified breast surgeon, who will join the team in a part-time capacity beginning June 6. Dr. Miller will work 1-2 days per week, every other week.

Dr. Stephanie Miller is devoted to educating women about breast cancer, their risks, and options for interventions and treatment. Dr. Miller, who speaks Spanish, is a breast surgeon in the Denver area, primarily at HealthONE. She is a leader in this field and is the medical director of two of the Denver area’s major breast programs. She specializes in breast disease, taking care of women with breast cancer and high-risk for breast cancer. Her surgical expertise extends to the field of surgical oncoplastic surgery, from breast conservation to nipple-sparing mastectomy.

Dr. Miller received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating cum laude with a major in BioPhysics and a minor in Chemistry. In 1995, she received her doctorate in Medicine from the University of Maryland, after which she moved to Denver, Colorado, to pursue a career in surgery. She began her training in general surgery at the University of Colorado in 1995. She completed her surgical residency and training at the University of Colorado in 2002.

Dr. Miller is also an exercise enthusiast, avid skier, runner, rock climber, hiker, and baker, as well as a mother of three. Her daughter attends Scripps College in California, her son attends West Point, and her youngest son attends Regis High School.
