Vail Health Volunteer Corps: Celebrating 45 Years

On September 12, 2024, Vail Health Foundation hosted a special event to celebrate the Vail Health Volunteer Corps’ 45th anniversary and formally unveil the new Volunteer Corps Display inside Vail Health Hospital.

Since 1979, this dedicated group has contributed over 400,000 hours of service to patients, families, and staff across our organization. Volunteers greet patients, comfort those in waiting rooms, and guide them throughout our facilities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they stepped up to support vaccine clinics and arranged musical performances to entertain and help relax people in the waiting area.

The Volunteer Corps was also recognized as a Principal Benefactor for contributing over $1 million to Vail Health over the years.
