Vail Health Recognized for Commitment to Safeguarding the Well-Being of Its Nurses

Vail Health Hospital has earned redesignation for the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Pathway to Excellence program, four years after receiving its initial recognition. The achievement places the hospital among a premier group, one of only nine healthcare systems in Colorado and 275 worldwide to hold this prestigious credential.
“This redesignation reflects the outstanding culture we have built at Vail Health Hospital—one that values a supportive work environment and emphasizes staff engagement, development, and empowerment,” said Amanda Veit, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer at Vail Health.
As a Pathway organization, Vail Health Hospital leads the effort to enhance the quality of care, patient and nursing safety, and the future of health care delivery. “Our nurses consistently deliver exceptional care to our community, and this redesignation is a powerful affirmation of their ongoing dedication and excellence,” said Will Cook, President and CEO of Vail Health.
Through Vail Health Foundation, philanthropy plays a crucial role in helping Vail Health pursue and maintain these important designations, including Pathway to Excellence, and has supported additional programming that has improved the nursing experience.
