Transforming Care With EMR Technology

New Electronic Medical Record System Streamlines Outpatient Behavioral Health Care

Eagle Valley Behavioral Health has adopted a new Electronic Medical Record (EMR), a digital form of a patient chart that captures and reports data for the full range of behavioral health services, including office visits, outpatient therapy sessions, case management, and peer support. This new EMR system integrates with Vail Health’s existing healthcare EMR systems and allows for a smooth transition among outpatient care settings.

“Implementing the Cerner Integrated Behavioral Health EMR is about more than meeting regulatory requirements; it’s about providing coherent, continuous care that addresses all aspects of our patients’ behavioral health needs,” says Kim Goodrich, Vail Health Behavioral Health’s Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) Program Improvement Director. “The EMR allows for greater collaboration among providers, improves the accuracy of treatment plans, and streamlines administrative tasks, ultimately leading to more efficient and effective care for our community.”

Benefactors Elevate Mental Health Care

Generous gifts from the Borgen and Bronfman families provided critical funding needed to implement the EMR. “We are proud to support Eagle Valley Behavioral Health’s journey toward becoming a CMHC. The integration of the EMR system is a critical step in providing comprehensive care to those in need,” says Sam Bronfman.

Implementing the EMR exemplifies the commitment to advancing comprehensive mental health care throughout the Eagle River Valley.
